Project description 
The project involved the construction of a 1,4 km Code F taxiway (Papa), a 1,2 km extension to Charlie taxiway and a 6 km airside service road. The construction work formed part of the ultimate master plan for the airport. In addition to the pavement works, the project also included the construction of a taxiway underpass for the airside, a road bridge, bulk stormwater infrastructure, 6 km of new fencing, two blast fences, four new aircraft gates and a new security gate and building. 
 

GIBB responsibilities 
Initial master planning input (vertical integration study), geometric design, pavement engineering, lighting systems, drainage and stormwater engineering, structural/bridge engineering, building services, mechanical engineering, and IT solutions (control and access systems).
