The project entails master planning, conceptual terminal designs (in partnership with Martinez Architects) and construction work for runways, taxiways and aprons. The master planning process considered an ultimate airport layout that would allow for Code F aircrafts (i.e. the Airbus A380). The initial works included both new construction works (a new runway at Kasese, new taxiways and aprons at both airports) and rehabilitation works (rehabilitation of runway at Gulu airport).
Master planning, geometric design, pavement engineering, airfield navigational systems, drainage and stormwater engineering, air traffic forecasting and land use planning.
