GIBB was appointed for the preparation of a Sewerage Master Plan for the metropolitan areas of Mangaung.

The study entailed a complete assessment of sanitation delivery.  This entailed determining present and future demands on the sanitation system, scenario planning, network optimisation and recommendations relating to refurbishment programmes, establishing asset registers of infrastructure such as wastewater treatment works.

The Sanitation Master Plan contributes to achieving the objectives of the Mangaung Local Municipality Integrated Development Plan to provide waterborne sewerage in the greater Mangaung population.
